Introducing Automation Features

Automation

January 2026

We're thrilled to announce two powerful automation features designed to help support teams work more efficiently. With Auto-Create Tickets and Ticket Completion Notes, you can eliminate manual effort and keep your team informed automatically.

Auto-Create Tickets

For high-volume support teams, manually creating a Linear ticket for every conversation can be time-consuming. Auto-Create Tickets solves this by automatically generating a Linear ticket whenever a new Crisp conversation starts.

How it works

When a customer initiates a new conversation in Crisp, a Linear ticket is automatically created using your configured defaults. The ticket is immediately linked to the conversation, enabling bidirectional sync between your support and engineering teams.

  • Zero manual effort - Every customer request gets tracked automatically without any action from your team
  • Uses your defaults - Tickets are created with your configured team, project, priority, labels, and assignee
  • Prevents duplicates - If a conversation already has a linked ticket, no duplicate is created
  • Smart timing - Tickets are created after a brief delay to ensure the conversation is genuine

Getting started

Before enabling Auto-Create Tickets, you'll need to configure your default ticket values. This ensures every automatically created ticket has the right team, project, and other settings. Once configured, simply enable the toggle in your automations settings.

Ticket Completion Notes

When your engineering team resolves an issue in Linear, your support team needs to know so they can follow up with the customer. Ticket Completion Notes automates this communication by sending a note to the Crisp conversation whenever a linked Linear ticket is marked as done.

How it works

When a developer marks a Linear ticket as "Done," a stealth note is automatically added to all linked Crisp conversations. Your support team sees the update immediately, so they can notify the customer that their issue has been resolved.

  • Instant visibility - Support team knows the moment an issue is resolved without checking Linear
  • Faster customer response - Customers get notified sooner because your team sees updates in real-time
  • Internal notes - Notes are sent as stealth notes, visible only to your team until you choose to share
  • Multi-conversation support - If a ticket is linked to multiple conversations, each receives its own note

Getting started

Enable Ticket Completion Notes in your automations settings. That's it. Once enabled, notes will be sent automatically whenever a linked ticket is completed.

Perfect for growing teams

These automation features are designed for teams who want to scale their support operations without adding overhead. Whether you're handling dozens or hundreds of conversations daily, automation ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

High-volume support

Automatically track every conversation without manual ticket creation.

Engineering sync

Keep support and engineering teams aligned with automatic status updates.

Customer experience

Respond faster to customers by knowing exactly when issues are resolved.

Zero-effort tracking

Focus on solving problems instead of managing ticket workflows.

Pro tip

Both automation features work together seamlessly. Auto-create a ticket when a conversation starts, and automatically notify your team when it's resolved. It's a complete workflow with zero manual steps.

What's next

We're continuing to build automation features based on your feedback. If you have ideas for additional automations or improvements, reach out to our team using the Crisp widget on this page.
